Food and Haulage

Tuesday, December 18, 2012
Me and my boyfriend went out on one of our date nights!

My outfit of the night~

We went to eat at Red Robin and they just recently remodeled the place! They replaced the furniture and decor of the place. It is much darker and looks so much more romantic. Which is surprising for a burger joint/diner.

Yummy freckled lemonade ^^ forgot to take pic of burger orz...

We also went to La Fondue a couple days afterwards with my sister! This place is pretty pricey with the combination meal consisting of 4 courses that can go up to $100 or more! We decided to opt for just the cheese and chocolate fondue for only a total of $60 including tip! Not bad.

These are the ingredients that went into our Cajun cheese fondue. Minced garlic, hot sauce and shrimp, pepper, beer, and other spices. We got to watch the waitress mix the fondue for us

The result! Plus dippers including sourdough bread and an assortment of veggies and fruits

Finally, our mint chocolate fondue for dessert! YUM YUM *____*

Fondue is such a fun experience! You can easily spend 1.5+ hours just enjoying your food!

----------

I went shopping and couple days ago and I picked up a MAC Peaches. For the past couple years I've only been using MAC Dollymix, but I was getting tired of using the same blush over and over haha!

What it looks like in the pan

It is actually very sheer and buildable. Dollymix is very bright and pigmented and all it took was a dab of the brush to achieve the color in the pan. This is not the case with Peaches! I needed to keep building up the color on my cheeks for it to show up. However, it is a very warm and natural color which I love! I think I'll be reaching for this from now on.

Oh yeah, and I also ordered a pair of lashes from Velour Lashes. I've been reading some good reviews on these 100% real mink fur lashes so I just had to get my hands on them. Supposedly, they are fake lashes that look like real lashes! So I placed my order with them for a pair of Oops! Naughty Me lashes. They arrived in about a week.

These lashes are so dramatic on me, which I wasn't hoping them to be. I'm actually in the process of exchanging them for the Are Those Real? lashes. Now I'm just waiting for the refund and for them to send out the new lashes! Excited~

Thanksgiving Break

Tuesday, November 27, 2012
Thanksgiving food porn, yay! I had a pretty eventful thanksgiving weekend~ Five day weekend that went by too fast. Anyway, on Thanksgiving day I went to my aunt's house to feast!

Truffles and stuffed mushrooms! My sister and I made these for the feast~ YUMMM. The truffles were a bit sweet this time, but still good nonetheless!

The main meats! Turkey that has been shredded and honey ham. I did not like the honey ham though 'cause it was too sweet.

ALLLLLLL the sides! YUMM

My plate lol

There was soo much food! My aunt also made Indian chai tea that was really tasty. When I go to Indian restaurants I usually do not like their chai tea, but I liked my aunt's version.

The next day, I went to my boyfriend and his family's thanksgiving dinner. Dolled up a bit for the occasion, hoho.

Camwhoring lol

Wearing the necklace I bought from my H&M haul! I love this necklace!

Thanksgiving feast part 2 at my boyfriend and his fam's!

Then, over the weekend my sister and her boyfriend went to Apple Hill and brought back a bunch of apple goodies! Just a few of their purchases:

Apple cider, apple juice, and caramel & apple kettle corn! High quality stuff yo. They were pricey, but good! Especially the kettle corn *_________*

These are addicting and I don't know why. The apple flavored corn is very light, but as you keep eating the flavor builds up and becomes tasty. I love thisssssss

Apple wine! I usually do not like wine, but I gotta admit this one was good. It was very sweet~

Next time, I'm going to Apple Hill myself so I can check out all the apple farms! Apples galore! I heard there was apple beer, apple butter, just everything apple. My sister and her boyfriend also brought back one of the best apple pie ever! Not too sweet, and a crispy crumble. I'm drooling just thinking about it!

BACK + Halloween Weekend

Tuesday, November 6, 2012
My my my, if it hasn't been awhile!! Hello again, blog! Haha, I actually decided to start blogging again after a friend mentioned it to me. :O It's been too long... 3 years since my last post, oh my. Guess life kind of got in the way. Anyway, hmm... what to blog...ah yes...although a bit late....how about my HALLOWEEN

Me and my boyfriend decided to try something a little new this year. Last year we went to Halloween Haunt. This year, we decided to go Fright Night at Winchester Mystery House.

They also gave out each person a square piece of pumpkin spice chocolate from Ghirardelli! High quality chocolate, yo.

My make for the night~

Fright Night consisted of two attractions. The first one was a self-guided tour through the Winchester house. The second was the haunted maze. It was my first time actually touring the house so I found it to be quite interesting, albeit eerie. The house was in darkness and they provided you with a flashlight (which you get to keep as a souvenir, yay!) and a headset to tour the house. Got to learn a lot about Sarah Winchester and her strange home, which was teeny, narrow, and had a lot of windows and stairs leading to nowhere. Creeeeppyyy house.
After the maze, we were lead directly to the haunted maze. And here is where the fun begins! I didn't capture any pictures, but the attention to detail in the maze was fantastic. You can tell they spent a lot of time into the production. The actors did a good job as well, but I didn't get scared because I waited for the group in front of us to get jumped at first. AHAHHHAHA. Yeah, I'm a wuss.

The next day, the excitement continues!!

It was my sister's birthday weekend too so we decided to give her a surprise birthday dinner at one of our favorite Japanese bakery/cafe.
I love this bakery cafe. It is owned by a Japanese woman/mother and the food and the decor, everything just feels so homey. They provided home-cooked meals for dinner which was declicious!!

Ohhhh my goodd, best bread ever!! Not surprised since this bakery IS known for their bread~ It was so good we kept asking for refills on these ^^;;

And the main course arrives!! My hamburg steak with ponzu sauce. Topped with daikon, potato salad, peppers, tomatoes, and some fruits. That potato salad was to DIE for *droool*

After dinner, a few of us decided to do some pumpkin carving~

Me and my boy trying to cut the top off our pumpkin, haha.

Our finished result! Say hello to Mr. Skellington~

And the rest of the pumpkins! From left to right: Mike Wazowski, Jack Skellington, Puss in Boots, and Mickey Mouse!

It was my first time carving pumpkins so I had a blast ^^ Wish I could carve some more, lol.

And that concludes my Halloween weekend. Until next time!
