Freshlook Colorblends in Gemstone Green Review [Eyecandy's]

Sunday, March 3, 2013
So I've been looking for a pair of green contact lenses. I was debating whether I should buy green circle lenses or just regular green color contacts. I opted for just the regular contact lenses. After researching, I decided to go ahead and buy a pair of Freshlook Colorblends in Gemstone Green from Eyecandys.com. They sold only one pair, which was perfect for me. I didn't want to take the risk of buying a whole box when I didn't know if I would like the color or not! I went ahead and placed my order and after almost a month of waiting, my package finally arrived!!

The content of my package

Cute animal lens case!! Got it as a surprise gift. I used a code from a blog, I believe eki's?

So...after I opened my package I realized they sent me the wrong color lenses!! I ordered Gemstone Green, but they sent me the Green contact lenses. I immediately contacted Eyecandys and voiced my disappointment. I promptly received a reply the following day. The owner apologized for her packaging staff's mistake and told me they would send out the correct color lenses.

After about another month, I finally received my Gemstone Green lenses!

What they look like in the blisters. As you can see, they are a lot more vibrant and opaque than the Green lenses.

What they look like on my eye. Only clear pic I have ><

Pics of me wearing them:

I was actually very satisfied with the customer service I received from Eyecandys! The owner was very professional in her response. I would order from them again. ^^ I have not tried the Green lenses, however. But I will definitely use them! Don't want it to go to waste ^^b

Taobao Haul: Emoda

Wednesday, February 6, 2013
So I've been in love with the fashion brand EMODA for the longest time. I am constantly browsing this site, checking for new items and updates. What sucks is that sometimes the items I want go out of stock so quickly even before I get a chance to look at it! And I don't think Emoda even restocks ;___; So I went on Taobao and I was surprised to see that they had a bunch of Emoda items! And they had items that was out of stock *_____* I was in heaven. However, these items were in Chinese Yuan and when converted, ranged between $15-20 dollars (whereas as the original would cost $50+)! Surely, these must be fake. But at such cheap prices, I couldn't help myself and grabbed a couple items~

Taobao does not ship overseas so I used a taobao agent, Pruany, to help me order. Their service fee is pretty cheap (8%) compared to other services I've found which were usually about 10%. I've used their service before to order from Taobao and I had no problems, but this time I ran into some problems. First of all, an item that I ordered went out of stock and I asked the agent to replace that item from another seller that was the exact same item and price. The agent refused to complete my request and told me, "No, just order." I was a bit shocked and a bit angry because I was a paying customer. But I just bit the bullet and went ahead with my order. And secondly, my package was missent so it took a whole extra week to sort that out. There were a lot of hiccups, but I was glad to finally receive my package.

After I opened the box, the clothes were packaged in small plastic bags

I ordered a total of five items!

This knit cost about $24

This collar shirt cost about $15

This turtle neck cost about $15

This sweater cost about $18

This parka cost about $40. My favorite purchase of the haul!

The price pretty much reflects the quality of the clothing, but they are actually very good replicas! My favorite purchase is probably the boa parka. It feels a bit cheap, but I didn't really expect much with that price. I must admit, it does look a lot like the original! I wish I could've purchased the original though. :(

Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchases!

My New Year's Eve

Thursday, January 3, 2013
My New Year outfit of the night ^^

For New Year's Eve I spent the night going to a festival with my sister! It's called Global Winter Wonderland and it is a theme park filled with lanterns.

Some that look like this

and this

and this

totally reminds me of Avatar land HAHAHA

So pretty, right?!

They also had fake snow and bubble machines scattered throughout the park!

It's snowing OoOOoOOOO~

They also had a international food fair and live entertainment which we missed because we came so late. :( And carnival rides! And some park rides that were open for the family. My sister and I got a wristband for unlimited rides, but we only rode about 2 of them, lol. One was the carousel

I'm on a horse!! KAKAKA made me feel like a kid again @_@

The park was open until 10pm, but we arrived at the park around 8:30pm. It wasn't enough time to do everything! They had so much to do here that I wish we came earlier. It felt so rushed, but that's ok. We will go again next year~ ^^

And as I was exiting the park I found my astrological sign on a lantern!!

And that's my new year's eve! We just went home afterwards. No countdown, no party >< How did you guys spend your new year? :P
